Last night’s game was a blast. Aside from the occasional after play tussle it was a hard fought game with a great conclusion. No, I’m not a Giants fan, and no I don’t hate the Patriots (don’t like the either). I do like a good story though and Eli’s rise from goat to hero this year is a good story. David bringing down Goliath is a good story, especially is the David is the brother of last year’s hero.

The game was also an interesting watch because I did so with some good friends and a one of my Sunday school kids. While I don’t cuss like a sailor anymore I do tend to get a bit emotive watching sports. It was a nice reality check to see if I practiced what I preached (not that I preach or bring up sports fan etiquette).

I’ve had the privilege of seeing some great Super Bowl games in a run of mediocre ones. This one’s not quite of to the Rams v. Titans but it’s definitely made the top five.
