Kerry Wood had a back spasm – like hundreds of other players. He’ll be back in a few days. Relievers lost the game – like Spring Training relievers are apt to.
on the same topic, different reporter:
“Wood’s back spasms reopen closer battle”.
The next bit of text in the article reads: “Kerry Wood’s back spasms shouldn’t affect his front-runner status in the three-way race for the closer’s spot.” So where’s the truth? Again, not likely not in the headline.

lovely. not to rush to anyone’s defense, but usually it’s the editor who writes the headline.
I found the Cubs coach’s smashed-car story much more entertaining.
